In the spirit of community, Brown Distributing Company works with local organizations to help stop underage drinking by providing literature and tools that encourage responsible consumption of alcohol.

We also support a variety of local and national nonprofit organizations to help those in need. Our employees and partners are dedicated to improving the social well-being of the communities we serve with volunteer efforts and through donations. Some of the organizations we support include:

Connor's Heroes provides assistance to children and their families who are being treated for cancer in Richmond, Virginia, at the Children's Medical Center of VCU Health System, including the ASK Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic and the VCU Massey Cancer Center Bone Marrow Transplant Unit.

Make-A-Wish Foundation enriches the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.

SCAN Richmond is dedicated solely to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect in the Greater Richmond area. SCAN was founded in 1991 in response to the rapidly growing rate of child abuse and neglect in the City of Richmond and its surrounding counties. SCAN is an affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse Virginia.

Hanover Firefighters Association. The Hanover Professional Firefighters Association, Local 4202, organized in June of 2002, serves as the advocate for the Public service professionals of the Hanover County Fire/EMS Department. Serving a community of 123,000 citizens and a membership of over 100 Firefighters and Fire Medics, our local strives to provide the means to both protect the livelihood of our brothers and sisters, as well as provide state-of-the-art Fire and Medical service for the public we are sworn to protect. The Hanover Professional Firefighter's Association is active in supporting civic and educational organizations in as a means to improve the partnership we share with our community.

ACCA Shriners Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of 18 orthopedic hospitals, three burn hospitals, and one hospital that provides orthopedic, burn and spinal cord injury care, where children up to their 18th birthday receive excellent medical care absolutely free of charge.
